JUSTICE FOR KATHLEEN: Unveil the truth!!!

JUSTICE FOR KATHLEEN: Unveil the truth!!!
By Belarmino D. Saguing, Rome, Italy 09.08.2013 1616 EST

The body of Kathleen Ann Viray Ilagan, who is reported to have committed suicide inside a shelter run by the Philippine embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Middle East, on April 10, arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport on April 17 at 11.00am on board a Gulf Air flight.

Doubts about Ilagan’s gruesome death lingers, since the police report states that she had hung herself on a doorknob, which is only waist-high.

Even the cord used in the hanging is surrounded by questions. It is impossible that Kathleen could find a rope in the shelter, as there is no clothesline there, according to some wards of the shelter.

Why has no one saw her, as the shelter has little privacy. And where were the embassy personnel?

While there were repatriation documents and police reports, no autopsy report was included in the papers inserted in Ilagan’s casket. Why so? It is most irregular. Something is terribly wrong with the official story.

For one thing, there is a time difference in the repatriation formalities between the remains of a migrant worker who died mysteriously and one who dies a natural death due to illness or accident, the repatriation of Ilagan’s body only took two to three days, while in most cases there is anything from a three- to six-month wait for a body to be repatriated.

Why has the embassy did not conduct a thorough investigation into her death. Are they hiding something?

Ilagan’s family said that she had quit her job in the Middle East to seek shelter at the Philippine embassy and even though she is home now, their great pain is that she was dead on arrival.

Her family says that they do not believe that she would commit suicide and that the last text message they received from her said that her only desire in life was to go home.

The ambassador to Bahrain should explain himself to Kathleen’s family and to the Filipino communities, not only in Bahrain, but to all migrant workers who deserve protection while seeking temporary shelter in embassies around the world.

‘The family plans to have an autopsy carried out on Kathleen’s body to find out what was the real cause of her death’

UNVEIL THE MYSTERY AROUND KATHLEEN’S DEATH TO UNCOVER THE TRUTH THAT LEADS TO JUSTICE NOW !!!
