from a news item : Sinabi ni Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte na
(Deputy Presidential spokesperson told the press that they
understand the need of local chief executives to keep peace and order in their
areas but they have to do it without breraking the law. Nobody could break the
to enforce law and order).
From news item : Malacañang kay Duterte: “Shoot-to-kill, bawal
‘yan!” http://www.philstar.com/bansa/2013/07/14/965401/malacanang-kay-duterte-shoot-kill-bawal-yan
If this is the official policy of the Palace, then it must also
apply to AFP—PNP with regards to EJK. The President, as Commander in Chief,
must give the same order to his generals to do the pacification program within
the folds of the law.
The records of the Armed Forces with regards to Human Rights under
Aquino’s administration is indeed poor, if not dismal, and we still yet to hear
from the president a word of disapproval from the president.
Is the president going against both the law and his own policy? Now try that for size.
