Corrupt officials are
considered to be the evil of every country.
Corruption is tantamount to stealing, and it is a grave crime.
But a poor man will be put behind bars if he
steal a piece if bread so his family could eat. In contrast, corrupt officials
stealing billions of the people’s money, instead, would have a good time and a
happy life for his family. Why so? Does it suggest that the law of the land has
two standards. That it mean this crime has exception That it only applies to common citizens of the
Philippines and not to the officials they have voted to their positions of
power.
What the hell! If this is
the case, then all rules shouldn't be imposed. I believe that officials are
voted and chosen to rule a country not to take all the money of the country for
own good and benefits. It is very disappointing that all promises during
campaigns are broken when they have been elected.
The Philippines and
poverty is like sisters now, when you hear Philippines what comes to every
persons mind is poverty, and that is because lots of officials are corrupt.
Life is unfair once you
live in the Philippines. You will have higher expenses than earnings. That's
why there is no doubt that Philippines will still be one of the poorest
countries around the world despite the recent gains in the nation’s GDP and
probably the most corrupt country you'll ever find.
