THE STRANGE LIFE OF A WHISTLEBLOWER

By Belarmino Dabalos Saguing, Rome, Italy 19.07.2013 0840ITC

In the news: Court orders arrest of whistleblower Benhur Luy.
A few days ago, Benhur Luy was also mentioned in news items being an important witness in the case filed against Janet Lim-Napoles, involving her in the massive PhP10B fertilizer, Malampaya and pork barrel scams.

In another news, Luy was arrested on Napoles’ accusation the he robbed PhP 300,000 from Napoles.

So a person caught in a tornado of a 10B worth thefth defends herself by claiming that the witness against her is also a thieve robbing her a measly 300K. Now,that is picturing Luy as a tiny mite taking a nip at Napoles’ giant chunk of cheese!

Luy is already in the Witness Protection Program, if in temporary basis. I will be superfluous to put hin behind bars as he is no longer in position to scape away. I think there is no point in the accusation from Napoles except to point out that a giant thieve is gunning against a very much smaller thief.

As they say, big or small, a thief is still a thief. But even if proven that Luy has taken a nip from Napoles’ giant chunk of cheese, it will not let her out of the long reach of the law. She has to prove beyond reasonable doubt that she is not the big time thief along with the big time thieves in the congress and the senate…

In the meantime, the Filipinos will continue to cry out their big
OUCH…! JUNK PORK BARREL!!!
