Alert 4 has been raised in Syria monthe ago. It may be true
that there are some who wisdhed to stay, still there are many more who has
expressed their wish to be evacuated and theuy are still there waiting to be
repatriated.
Now, the conflict in Middle East has expanded by the
American threat to strike Syria and the neighboring Israel and Saudi Arabia may
get involved thru the menace of retaliations from Russia and Iran. Egypt was in flames and Alert 4 is also in
vigor in that country.
If the Philippine government failed to react tempestably to
the situation, the number of Filipinos will be more than trebled and complicated by
the wide areas of evacuations.
Wait and see policy of the government may further complicate
the problem. We ask the Philippine government to act now before it gets too
late to act as what happened in Libya.
