URGENT ALERT FROM BAYAN: "We strongly denounce the detention of Dutch activist Thomas van Beersum by the Bureau of Immigration. We demand his immediate release as he is already on his way out of the country. We demand that his rights be respected, that he not be paraded like a criminal and that he is allowed to confer with his lawyers from NUPL led by Atty. Rey Cortez and the different human rights groups."

To all who criticize this valorous youth from Netherlands who came to our country to learn about the rampant human rights violations and impunity in the Philippinesd, have criticized also the killings of foreign human rights activists like Fr. Fausto Tentorio from Italy or Willem Geertman from Holland whose crimes was speaking about the rights of Filipinos against the rape of of our nature by foreign multinationals such as Xtrata-SMI? It is a pity that they are doing what every patriotic Filipino should be doing. You must do a bit of examination of conscience if you have a conscience.

To tell the truth, they too were fighting for your rights and defending our country,  so stop yammering against these foreigners who are actively doing what you ought to be doing.  Or perhaps you rejoice about the foreigners coming to the Philippines to usurp its wealth.
