The Philippine authorities are always quick on accusing
rebelious groups for extorting from the people, most notable is the military
who finds it a welcome excuse to kill.
But, what about killing the extortionist government agencies
like the Philhealth, SSS and the Pagibig and the corporations Meralco who
shamelessly extort money from the people? Why are our military orgs not going
after them? Our military are even acting like security guards of the corporations
who forcibly grab the people’s money. This is exemplified by the fact that most
AFP operations in Mindanao are within localities where the mining corporations ,
one of which is a corporation owned by the president’s uncle, are attempting to
grab the indigenous land to enrich themselves. Why so?
This gives credence to the social media line: When the
government and the corporations rob the people, it is business. When the people
try to defend themselves, it is terrorism. This is how the state enforce ‘justice’
in the Philippines.
