One month after the filing of petition for temporary restraining order against premium hikes for Social Security System (SSS) and two weeks for a similar petition against Philhealth premium hikes, workers under the Kilusang Mayo Uno picketed the Supreme Court yesterday to demand the high court to stop these hikes.
The group said premium hikes in both the SSS and PhilHealth are additional burden for workers already receiving meager wages and paying high prices for basic goods and services. The militant workers vowed to continue their protests in the coming days.
