While president BS Aquino, a member of the Cojuanco clan, is celebrating his birthday yesterday, the Tarlac Development Corporatiom (TADECO) owned by his family, continue their rampage in the disputed land of Hacienda Luisita.

Reports from Alyansa ng Manggagawang Bukid sa Asyenda Luisita (AMBALA), houses of three farmers in Brgy. Balete was razed to the ground, the crops continue to be bulldozed, and protest stifled at gunpoint. A sixteen year old boy was arrested for taking picture of the scene with his cellphone, hauled to the local police headquarters and subsequently turned over to social welfare representatives.

Adding insult to injury, a contigent of PNP was seen helping the security guards in keeping the farmers at bay so they can not protest or defend their houses and crops. and a group of Philippiner Army soldiers of the 3rd  Mech. Bn., PA who are encamped and are helping in the bulldozing operations in the disputed area.
All these are happening in an area supposedly covered by land reform.

Malacañang, the Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Justice (DOJ), Supreme Court, Commission on Human Rights, and all other concerned government agencies are all silent about this issue.

The farmers expressed their fear of another HL massacre to happen if the government will continue to close their eyes to the abuses of the Cojuanco clan.
