ALYANSANG MAKABAYAN | Balsa National's Inter-Regional Relief Caravan with #Tabang Eastern Visayas

Email received from Bayan Europe : vera gensan <alugbatius@yahoo.com>

Fwd: re our Tabang Easern Visayas

In about six hours today, Nov. 21,  we should be on our way to Leyte and Samar for Balsa National's Inter-Regional Relief Caravan with #Tabang Eastern Visayas.

Our caravan will take us to Bicol, then crossing Samar, with Balsa proceeding to Leyte, including Tacloban City; the others will be distributing relief goods in Eastern Samar.

Preparing for this was a big logistical endeavor which surpasses that of our operation for victims of typhoon Ondoy.

This will be a long trip - meaning, our caravan cannot go on a fast clip on the highways of Bicol - because of several cargo trucks carrying very heavy packs of relief goods of 5 kgs. of rice, dried fish, canned sardines, salt, coffee, sugar, and bottled water.

Watch us on Facebook with the account name Balsa; there is also a FB account of Balsa National. Also on twitter.

When we reach Leyte, we have to cook our own food and brng our own bottled water.

There wlll be no email  in Leyte for a few days.

Carol, Lengua, our Deputy Secretary General, and Ryan, a campaign staff of Bayan, including our office secretary are staying behind for the other tasks of Bayan.

You can email Carol  or Lengua at lengua.eleanor@gmal.com to whom we shall also send our texted messages for updates.

We should be back in Metro Manila on Nov. 25 or 26.

Thank you all for the donations that you have sent us.
