Sen. Franklin Drilon said “What will happen if we will not take a direct hand (in the identification of projects)? Let’s just abolish Congress then.”
With his
own words, Sen Drillon was saying that Congress cannot exist without pork
barrel. Clearly, our representatives are voted by the people so they can dip
their hands into the public funds instead of making laws that would make the
people the boss.
If that
is the case, the people might as well take him at his word and dissolve the
Congress and replace it with a better law-making body that is democratic,
nationalistic and pro-people. And a proposito, we can kick them all including
the president and replace them with service oriented congressmen, senators and president.
